In the first century Jesus of Nazareth inspired a movement. A community of people whose lives were centered on Jesus Christ 10 and committed to living the way of God’s unconditional, unselfish, sacrificial, and redemptive love. Before they were called “church” or “Christian,” this Jesus Movement was simply called “the way.”

Episcopalians everywhere will share in this special Lenten Journey. Each week, we will turn, learn and pray our way through the desert, toward resurrection life with Jesus.

The Way of Love, Practices for Jesus-Centered Life, is the theme for the Lenten Soup Suppers

Regarding Lent, all Covenant parishes are participating in a weekly Lenten practice beginning the week of March 11- April 11.

Lenten Soup Suppers in Dowagiac will take place on Thursdays, 6:00 pm, and in St. Joe on Tuesdays, 5:30 pm. Both will use The Way of Love, Practices for Jesus-Centered Life. A simple meal will be followed by study.

Niles participates in a community Lenten study on Wednesdays that rotates among several area churches and denominations, beginning at 6 pm with a simple meal followed by study.
